Bromley babe Nicola Tappenden earned her stripes as a WAG after becoming engaged to Plymouth Argyle footballer Simon Walton. Nic is a highly successful model and businesswoman, running the online fashion boutique, www.deliciouscouture.com. Earlier this year, Nic took part in Celebrity Big Brother, starring alongside Hollywood actor Vinnie Jones, with whom she has since co-launched fashion label Hollywood All Stars, giving proceeds to war charity Help For Heroes.

After months of rumours about what Cheryl Cole’s next more would be she has finally ended speculation by filing officially for a quick divorce from the cheating Ashley Cole.

Cheryl stated that she wants the divorce to quietly and quickly be over so as not to disrupt England’s performance in the World Cup and is not asking for any money from Ashley.

Within the filing, Cheryl stated that she wanted the divorce for ‘unreasonable behaviour’ which is easy to understand as Ashley’s continuous cheating.  She instructed her lawyers to finish the divorce quickly so that Ashley will be free to head to the World Cup without worrying about her.

Surprising in the divorce is the fact that Cheryl gave up the Surrey mansion valued at £6m, which many people speculated she would want to keep.

The divorce is expected to be finalized before June 12^th comes which is the date that England is due to arrive in South Africa.

Cheryl’s goal is to show she can support herself without Ashley’s money and seeing as she is worth millions due to her past with Girls Aloud and her current million pound contract as an X Factor judge.

The Cole’s split originally back in February when news that Ashley was cheating was printed in the tabloids.  In 2008 it also came to light that he had cheated on her and she forgive him, but apparently second time is not the charm and Cheryl decided it was time to move on.

Cheryl Cole insists that although she does not always wear her wedding ring, it is not a sign to her estranged husband Ashley Cole that she has decided to get a divorce.

The 26 year old X Factor judge stated that it is not a game she is playing and that when she was seen in Paris without her ring she was not drawing attention to her ringless finger, but simply pulling hair back out of her face.

On Twitter she explained that there have been many instances in which she has been photographed without her ring including instances when she was still with Ashley and thus believes it is crazy that people are so willing to interpret the gesture.

Later the same day Cole was seen in Paris wearing a gold knotted ring on her finger but it is not thought to have come from Ashley Cole.

Ashley Cole is the Chelsea and England footballer who made headlines this year off the field for cheating on Cheryl Cole with a long string of women which has led to their separation temporarily while the couple decides what to do.

Cheryl stated that Ashley and she are aware of what is going on in their private lives and a silly picture of her moving the hair from her face means very little.

In the ongoing Cheryl vs. Ashley Cole wars, it’s still hard to tell where the battle lines are really drawn.  The last time they were photographed together was on February 12^th at the hospital where Ashley was treated for a broken ankle.  Cheryl picked him up, but since then she has hardened her heart, in spite of attempts on his part to see her and “sort things out”.

According to sources close to the Chelsea star, Ashley has been pretty confident that the two will get back together, perhaps after a period of separation during which Cheryl will change her mind or at least soften up towards him.  Whether his hopes are unfounded remains to be seen.  She refused to see or speak to him when he arrived at their mansion to pack some of his belongings, and her mother showed him to the door.

Ashley left that non-encounter in the boot of a Range Rover, the possessions he had retrieved piled on the back seat.  Not a comfortable exit, especially for someone with an injured ankle.  He has been recuperating in a French sports clinic since the injury, and there is still doubt about whether he will make it to the World’s Cup this summer.

Meanwhile Cheryl’s state of mind has been described as extremely stressed.  Friends and associates say that she’s furious and tired of being a pushover, but the strain is telling on her.  She’s having trouble sleeping and has abrogated a lot of her promotional duties, behaviour that is very unlike her usual energetic involvement.

Ashley Cole sent shivers through the spines of his friends after he sent a suicidal text at 3am to each of his friends a few hours after his wife said their marriage was over.

The message simply said ‘Thank You for Everything” and was sent at 3am in the morning to a close knit group of friends all of whom  were immediately concerned sending one rushing over to his mansion in Surrey to check on his condition.

Although he seemed to be in a dark place with a negative state of mind, according to several reports he was ok but his state of mind was in left field with friends stating that Cole is acting like a broken man.

The same source stated that he is not in the best state of mind and is currently like a zombie hiding in silence away from the world.

This is not the first time that fears about his mental status have arose, as he was apparently in a bad state of mind when his soon to be ex-wife, Cheryl Cole, flew to the United States and he begged her not to leave him.

Cheryl was so concerned about his mental state in fact that she agreed not to make a final decision about their marriage until she got back from the States after a week.

Cole was in fact so concerned during this period that he sent Cheryl text messages the entire time promising that they could work it out and begging for a second chance.

Cheryl Cole is reported to have sent a text message to her husband informing him that their relationship is officially over.

The singer is said to have sent the message after reading in the papers about the fact that the famous footballer has five mistresses on the side.

According to friends, Cheryl will head back to the UK within this week to formally announce the split with a draft statement already created.  A friend has said she will head to LA and then consider what she wants to do next from there.

The same friend stated that she is tired of promises and excuses and is ready to move on with her life.  Cheryl intends to handle the divorce in a dignified manner and proceed as quickly and quietly so as to save both parties from further embarrassment.

Last week, one of Cole’s mistresses, the fourth to be exact, stated that Cole and called her and said that if he lost his wife over the cheating he would be devastated.

He also is rumoured to have pleaded with Ann Corbitt, a US political aide, to keep silent about having sex with her while Cheryl was on tour.  She stated that she did not know he was married until afterwards when she looked him up online.

The fifth girlfriend to come forward, Alexandra Taylor, claims that she and Cole had sex the very night that he announced he was dating Cheryl Cole.

Things just keep getting worse in the rather smutty scandal going on with Ashley Cole and his long-term and apparently ongoing infidelity to his wife Cheryl.

Cole, star of the Chelsea footballers and “the world’s best left-back” first denied accusations of text-sex with model Sonia Wild, claiming he was just joking around and that the sexy snaps of himself were sent to the model after he loaned his mobile phone to a friend.  That explanation blew up when another model came forward and told The Sun

that she had received almost identical photos from Cole, and produced the proof.

Obviously, Cole did not want his wife to find out about his off-field activities.  He often stressed the need for secrecy, sending text messages to the effect that if Cheryl found out he’d be in big trouble, and to please keep his communiqués absolutely private.  His pleas were not heeded, since both Sonia and an unknown (or at least un-named) additional paramour told reporters all about it.

Meanwhile, his wife is trying to decide what to do about all this.  The phone-sex was going on for the most part while she was at work as the star of “X Factor”, and one act had to be cancelled when she dissolved in tears backstage after hearing (some of) the bad news.  However, some of her sorrow must have been relieved when her band, Girls Aloud, hit Number 1 on the charts with their single “The Promise”.

What next?  At present Ashley and Cheryl are separated, with Cheryl living in a hotel while she considers her options.
